Mobility Beyond Cars: Transforming Commercial Transportation
Wednesday, October 14, 2026
10:30am–12:30pm PT
Passenger vehicles have driven much of today's automotive semiconductor innovation—but they are only part of the mobility landscape. This session explores how trucking and commercial transportation are creating new demands for semiconductors through electrification, automation, and connectivity. Expert speakers will examine the unique compute, sensing, power, and safety requirements of commercial vehicles, along with challenges such as battery range, high-power charging, and fleet operations. Discussions will also address how logistics providers and freight operators are adopting these technologies to improve efficiency and resilience. For the semiconductor industry, commercial transportation represents a rapidly growing market with distinct technical requirements that will shape the next generation of automotive silicon and system architectures.
