As Director of the Export Center Ms. Hanes is focused on helping minority owned companies grow their business through exporting. Ms. Hanes helps clients to identify contract opportunities, access capital and navigate the resources needed to export products globally. The Chicago Export center works to introduce clients to markets in Africa and China but as part of a network of export centers around the country clients can expand their reach around the globe. Ms. Hanes years of expericence in Supply Chain Operations, Diversity and Business Development make her well suited for this position. Ms. Hanes joined Veteran Toner Services as Vice President of Diversity. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team at Veteran Toner Services, LLC Ms. Hanes was responsible for directing the company’s diversity initiatives, working with the Supply Chain team to add diverse suppliers to the supply base and working with the Sales Team to identify market opportunities for Veteran Toner Services. Veteran Toner Services is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business, supplying U.S. manufactured toner cartridges to government and corporate buyers nationally. Ms. Hanes also directs the organizations Human Resources team to ensure the Companies internal operations include diversity in all areas. Ms. Hanes, retired from the U.S .Department of Commerce - Where she served as the Director of Global Business Development for the Minority Business Development Agency Ms. Hanes has over thirty years of experience in supply chain management and minority business development. Her involvement with various organizations that promote minority and women business is extensive. Ms. Hanes joined MBDA as Regional Director of the South East in 2008; under her direction minority business owners have been awarded over $2 billion in contracts and/or financial assistance. Prior to joining MBDA Ms. Hanes served as Director of International Truck and Engine Corporation’s Global Supplier Diversity Initiative. Ms. Hanes’ career includes twenty-five years in Supply Chain Management and Supplier Diversity with the Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America, a division of Occidental Petroleum.
