David Mount is a 35 year veteran of the Vacuum and Thin Film Equipment Industry, having served with multiple equipment companies, in various senior management capacities. David has also served as a technology and business development consultant for numerous domestic and international companies engaged in the semiconductor, MEMS, optical, electronics, biomedical, renewable energy, automotive and vacuum industries. David retired from ULVAC at the end of 2015, but is retained by ULVAC as a Senior Advisor/Consultant, and is presently advising on Technology, Marketing and Business Development for ULVAC Technologies, Inc.; the U.S. subsidiary of ULVAC, Inc. – Japan. David also consults for The ConFab, a high level Semiconductor Industry conference produced by Solid State Technology Magazine, where he recruits speakers/presenters, for the advanced topic agenda. Mr. Mount has served as the Vice President of Technology for a start-up company, a semiconductor equipment manufacturer of Supercritical CO2 wafer cleaning systems. David led a team that was the recipient of an R&D 100 Award, for Supercritical Fluid cleaning and a Presidential, Green Chemistry, Award, while in that capacity. David has also served as the start-up editor for Vacuum & Thin Film Magazine and served as the Director of Editorial Technology for Vacuum Technology & Coating Magazine. Mr. Mount is a frequently invited conference speaker, with more than 200 technical publications and articles. David holds five (5) United States Patents. Mr. Mount holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Widener College, in Science Education (Chemistry). David’s graduate studies were in Materials Science and Engineering, at Drexel University.
