David Katz is a Principal Consultant at TIBCO/Spotfire. With over 35 years in the field, he has analyzed data from a wide variety of industries, from marketing and manufacturing to health care and formula-1 racing. From big data to machine learning, his approach is both creative and rigorous. Prior to joining TIBCO, Mr. Katz was the Director of Database Development at Williams-Sonoma, a leader in multi-channel marketing. He was a founder of Abacus Direct Marketing, now part of DoubleClick. Since joining TIBCO Spotfire in 2011 he has been active in planning the direction of several TIBCO products in the analytics area as well as a wide variety of client projects including Hadoop/Big Data projects and applications in the High – Tech manufacturing sector.
