Conrad James is Principal Investigator for the Hardware Acceleration of Adaptive Neural Algorithms Grand Challenge Laboratory Directed R&D project in the biological/chemical/physical microsensors department. This project is a major investment focused on developing disruptive technologies for data-driven computing using neural-inspired algorithms and hardware architectures. His experience in microsystems design and fabrication has had impact in fields from neural engineering to microfluidics and microelectronics. He holds six patents and has published more than 30 research articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals. He received his Ph.D. in applied and engineering physics from Cornell University.
