Besides his Stanford responsibilities, Ali Keshavarzi is a visiting research professor at UC Berkeley, advises DARPA and several startup companies, and is an industry liaison for DARPA in the ERI initiative. He founded Leading Edge Research Company prior to which he was Vice President of R&D and a Fellow at Cypress Semiconductor. Earlier, he held senior R&D and leadership positions at Intel, TSMC, and GLOBALFOUNDRIES. He has contributed to device technologies, low-power circuits, and co-optimization of technology and design for power and performance. He holds more than 60 U.S. patents and has written more than 70 peer-reviewed papers. He earned his Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from Purdue University.
